Hitting the road with MECC Central - LGIT Conference and Regional Information Sessions

Posted 10 August 2011 by Sean Fishlock (Datalink)

A big few weeks ahead for Datalink as we hit the road for the MECC Central emergency management software rollout to Victorian councils.

We've been busy preparing over the last few weeks for the first of our major regional commitments to the project.

Today we delivered workshops to members on the pilot program in Melbourne.

Next we're heading to the Local Government Technology Conference at the Sofitel in Melbourne, Sean Fishlock, managing director Scott Davey and possibly senior developer Bradley Hogan.

Scott will be presenting a seminar on the MECC Central rollout on Friday 12th August at the conference.

On Sunday, Sean Fishlock, Scott Davey and Peter Kakris will journey to Morwell where representatives from up to six councils with gather for the first of the information sessions to be held at Latrobe City Council headquarters next week.  We'll then be heading up to Wangaratta where the Rural City Council will be host and back to Melbourne.

The following week we will be doing a round trip from Colac to Ballarat and Horsham before an appearance in Bendigo.

This is an exciting time for our company and we're looking forward to the challenges of the coming months as the project takes the next step.
