Crisisworks v3.5 Release Schedule

Posted 9 September 2013 by Peter Kakris (Crisisworks)

We are pleased to announce that Crisisworks 3.5  will be rolled out progressively over September starting this week.

Crisisworks subscribers can contact our service desk to arrange a day that best suits you.

The new release is the result of months of development and has been successfully tested in a range of field trials.

This free update provides a host of new features, plus it provides underlying technology improvements including our mobile platform, which enables many of the new features we plan on releasing over the coming months.

New Features:

  • Web-based infrastructure impact assessments and cost tracking
  • Improved mapping support including ability to use Vicmap or in-house GIS map tiles
  • Map annotations with polygons & line strings
  • Filtering activities by polygon or radius
  • Creation of Assets
  • Upgraded announcements, now supporting long text format and publish/archive management
  • Support for mobile apps
  • Support for a range of new registers
  • An API for integration with council systems
  • New projector views
  • Improved handling of media
  • Improved notifications

Interface changes have been minimised to ensure that this system is familiar for users.

We will be offering a series of free information sessions over the coming weeks for administrators and coordinators to see what's new, plus we've updated our training courses. A full release document will accompany the release.
